“PEOPLE WALK INTO OUR HOME AND LOVE OUR PORTRAIT. WE GET MORE COMPLIMENTS ON OUR PORTRAIT THAN ANYTHING IN OUR HOME. WE LOVE KELLY’S WORK. WE CAN DEPEND ON HER TO LISTEN AND MAKE EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT. THAT’S WHY WE CAME TO HER AGAIN WHEN WE WANTED SOMETHING SPECIAL.” THANKS KELLY” ~ MARY BETH BUTCH
Notes to Kelly Throughout the Years
Cherishing Their Children’s Portrait: “I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all. The portraits you created are exquisite! We absolutely love each one and appreciate the unique looks. Our experiences with you have been truly pleasurable – even our four children didn’t grumble for their sittings! You have done more than create art to grace our home – you have created a tangible portrait of moments in our lives. We will forever cherish your talents in ‘showcasing’ our wonderful children. Thank you – Jo and George Pierson”
Portrait, the Most Beautiful Thing in Home: “Dear Kelly – Thank you for the wonderful portrait of our daughter, Presley. It’s the most beautiful thing in our home! Your loyal clients – Presley, Sheila and Christopher Schultz”

It literally is a dream come true to have my granddaughter’s portrait done at Kelly Gallery. How? Years ago I cut out an article from the KC Star newspaper about Kelly, her gardens, and the beautiful portraits she creates there and tucked it away in a folder labeled “keep”. At the time I had no grandchildren, nor was my only daughter even married. I hoped that someday I would have grandchildren and I would be able to have Kelly photograph them. Fast forward to 2011 and my 5 year old granddaughter is moving away from the city. For 5 years I had been involved in her DAILY life. I could not bear to think about not seeing her sweet face for months! I found the original article I had saved, called for an appointment, the portraits were made! Stella was photographed the week before they moved away, and we viewed the proofs the afternoon the moving van was packing their home. I made my selections through many tears that day. Each day I look at Stella’s sweet face in her portrait and remember the wonderful years we had together. Kelly truly captured her personality. Thank you Kelly for making my dream come true!
Kelly and Natalie were wonderful to work with. Grandmothers and mothers- our families grow up quickly. Don’t wait like I did!

P.S. I have the KC Star article attached to the back of the portrait.
