Recently, one of our beloved clients had a portrait sitting of her sons. She didn’t want an average portrait, she wanted to capture their relationship in an interactive portrait. The Kelly Gallery private gardens were designed and created by portrait photographer and artist Kelly Daniels. From the curved stone bridge at the edge of an intimate lake to the English garden walkways, Kelly creates scenic portrait art as well as a memorable experience. Portraits by The Kelly Gallery are created as very special pieces of art. Reminiscent of the Impressionistic style, the portraits capture feelings that add warmth and charm to your home. Kelly Daniels meets personally with you in advance to plan everything from where your portrait will hang to the clothes your family will wear. Finished portraits are a combination of mediums hand printed, enhanced by hand with dyes and oils and embedded in artist’s canvas. This year is the 43rd Annual Symphony Designers’ Showhouse, Kansas City’s biggest home makeover project. The Kelly Gallery is one of the featured designers, creating an elegant space in the Grand Hall with gorgeous portrait photography. Portrait photographer, Kelly Daniels, showcases her talent for capturing divine portraits of children in her 10-acre english garden. A lovely couple renewed their vows in one of The Kelly Gallery’s outdoor gazebos, enhancing the already beautiful weekend here at The Kelly Gallery. Their love was young and blooming once again, and gardens were blooming just in time for this event, as if it were written in the stars! A Japanese drum group made a unique and symbolic tribute to the heritage of the family. It was an honor to have been a part of the strengthening of this couple’s love and vows to one another.

Jacqulyn and Cadence get their first look at their portraits at the recent Johnson County Home and Garden Show in Overland Park, Kansas. Photographer, Kelly Daniels, did an incredible job of capturing these beautiful girls’ personalities in these timeless portraits. They will surely be family heirlooms and priceless artwork for their families forever.

Testimonial: A Dream Come True

It literally is a dream come true to have my granddaughter’s portrait done at Kelly Gallery. How? Years ago I cut out an article from the KC Star newspaper about Kelly, her gardens, and the beautiful portraits she creates there and tucked it away in a folder labeled “keep”. At the time I had no grandchildren, nor was my only daughter even married. I hoped that someday I would have grandchildren and I would be able to have Kelly photograph them. Fast forward to 2011 and my 5 year old granddaughter is moving away from the city. For 5 years I had been involved in her DAILY life. I could not bear to think about not seeing her sweet face for months! I found the original article I had saved, called for an appointment, the portraits were made! Stella was photographed the week before they moved away, and we viewed the proofs the afternoon the moving van was packing their home. I made my selections through many tears that day. Each day I look at Stella’s sweet face in her portrait and remember the wonderful years we had together. Kelly truly captured her personality. Thank you Kelly for making my dream come true!

Kelly and Natalie were wonderful to work with. Grandmothers and mothers- our families grow up quickly. Don’t wait like I did!
